My experience in hardware and software has given me a broad range of expertise in a professional environment. I have current experience in C#, JavaScript, T-SQL, ADO.NET, and classic ASP. As the lead Software Developer I am responsible for the translation of the E-Commerce website that was completed in classic ASP in to the .NET framework. The new site required new functionality, an overhaul of the login system, creation of user controls, the implementation of membership and roles, and the design of the user interface. Server side code is written in C#, with database access being completed through parameterized stored procedures. The client side code is written in ASP.NET, JavaScript, and Ajax. As the technical lead my responsibilities included making suggestions on user interface changes in conjunction with the marketing team, interviewing and hiring new developers, providing guidance and priorities for other developers in the team, and managing priority timelines.

As the Systems Software Engineer I was responsible for the design and development of applications that control and interface with sorting and printing hardware for large international distribution customers. My tasks included the, development of software based on user requirements, and support once the code is implemented at the client site. In the development stage of an application the software was completed in VB6 for legacy applications and in ASP.NET, and C# for front end Web development. The customer’s data for the application was maintained in a database using Sybase SQL Anywhere or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 depending on customer needs, and accessed through T-SQL stored procedures.

As a junior programmer at ITT, I have spent my time developing embedded applications for our proprietary hardware using the Texas Instruments TMS320F2809 processor. This included interfacing with GPIO’s, working with interrupts, timing controls, and RS-232 serial communications.
As an intern at ITT Defense I ported several VBA scripts for Office 2003 to Office 2007 using VSTO in Visual Studio 2008. Creating a new ribbon add-in for Excel 2007, updating the DAO database links to ADO for interfacing with a site wide Access database. I spent several weeks creating and updating VB6 programs that tested electronic circuit boards. This included controlling relays, monitoring signals, and controlling different power voltages to the test circuit boards using acceptability documentation from the engineering department.
